The Magazine Camera Ads

As i mentioned on another thread, i get great joy viewing vintage photography ads on magazines.
Cameras, lenses, bags, films.... you name it.

I thought we can start a thread where we can post some of these.

I start with two ads from Greek magazines that i have fond memories from as they come from the time i was seeking to buy my first camera.

It's not quite how I have used a Nikon S2 but I guess back in 1956 it was aimed at photojournalists and the like who wanted quick pictures.

On the Zenit ad, I wonder why they didn't translate it all into Greek instead of having part of the ad in English. Even though a lot of Greek probably speak English as a second language, it would still shut out those who don't.

On the Zenit ad, I wonder why they didn't translate it all into Greek instead of having part of the ad in English. Even though a lot of Greek probably speak English as a second language, it would still shut out those who don't.

You know what - it didn't even cross my mind. I am sure it is like this on other adverts too - now I will start paying attention.

I'll go have a look on the other magazines.
