Nate you should get one. I really want one of these, but it will have to go on the list of all the other **** I want.
Is the II that much better than the original version?
I don't think the two is worth the money. One weird thing about the camera is no actual bulb exposure mode. I'm still trying to find a decent deal. ~$1350 with Xpan, 45/4, hood and center filter. The center filter costs $250 alone!

Refering to the comments about the 30mm viewfinder:
It is rather bulky but its brightness is amazing. It is well worth the slight hassel of having to attach it. I find that, when concentrating on the subject matter, I sometimes frame through the wrong viewfinder, whether for the 30mm or for other lenses, if I have left the 30mm VF in attached.

So far I love mine. The ease of use is amazing. There seems to be a very large learning curve for me in compisition and framing but the camera is a joy to use.
BTW: the book is great...gives me a bunch of ideas!

I have the 30mm viewfinder. It's bright but you have not seen a bright viewfinder until you see through a Zeiss viewfinder. It's truly amazing.

Are the TX-1/2 and XPan/2 lenses all interchangeable amongst versions?
Yes they are.
I have an XPan II, however, by the time I managed to save up the money for the 30mm lens, I could only find the TX2 branded one.
