^ They've already discontinued the FP100, if japancamerahunter is correct. Peter

I know this fact, and this thread is about it. The discontinued film gets more costly each few days,

Supply and demand.
BH list 100C shipping in 6-8 weeks!
So while they are out, others with the film will charge more.
I could see it hitting up to $25, until the last shipment comes in and prices will drop down again.
But then go up slowly as time goes on.

Back when I got into digital Leica M and was looking around at lens options, I discovered the Voigtlander 35/1.2 and was curious about it. Then shortly thereafter it was announced as discontinued and the price went up a fair amount overnight. Once supply becomes finite, prices inevitably increase as supply decreases.
As I wrote in another thread recently, Fujifilm should just admit they're exiting film and rename themselves as Fuji (assuming the name is available - maybe it isn't).
I believe JCH speculated that Fuji actually halted production of FP100C quite some time ago and is just selling off whatever is left.

I ordered several packs of FP-100C from B&H one day after Fuji cancelled it. B&H told me it was on back order. I was notified earlier today that my order had shipped. I should get my film on Wednesday (3-9).

These are good news, Jim.
Maybe I will get lucky too.

Fuji logic; every pack sells but of course its discontinued because of reduced demand.

My FP-100C that was back-ordered from B&H came in on Wednesday. This stuff has an expiration date of 11/2017. I have some older FP-100C in the frig that I bought last June (or so) that has an expiration date of 11/2016. Different production runs?

If such film has a short expiration date, then I better plan for a year filled with Land 250 photography before the film expires.

I heard that Mr. Kaps (the man behind the Impossible Project) has entered official talks with Fujifilm in Tokyo.
Let's see what it will bring to us. In the mean time, I did order 30 packs (at around 12$ from BH). The order is not yet shipped.

FP-100C lasts a fairly long time if stored in the frig. Early last year I used a few packs that were more than two years beyond their expiration date. Colors, contrast were just fine.

This should give me then three years to use up my film. I will be very selective.

I have a one box in order (10 packs). And perhaps two still in my fridge. Those will be the last of the film I'll shoot unless Fuji decides to continue it's production (unlikely). This autumn I'll be doing a project purely on FP-100C, which most likely will be my last. I'm planning on documenting the project on photos and possibly on video too. Afterwards I hope to have it on exhibition next year.
I'm honestly devastated on this, since for me the packfilm was the best colour medium to work with.

Just bought 10 packs at 15 EUR each (+ shipping). Planning to buy other 10 more but not at too higher price.

I am also thinking of doing some project with my Land camera. I have not decided what type of project yet.
