i want to buy the bessa r2a with a 35mm, but i want to be able to carry it all day in the bessa case.

what 35mm lens should i go for, except for the 35/1.4 nokton?

hi, i use since 3 years the 35mm pancake color scopar 2.5 with the sunshade also on a R2a, very small, even a bit too much, sometimes i touch the metering when i want to change the apertures

Plain old bog standard 35/2.5 Color-Skopar is fine. Same glass as the pancake and a few mill longer, but not as fat and (por moi) easier to work with. Cheaper, too, isn't it?
Canon 35/1.8 is nice if you can locate a good one.

most compact

most compact

most compact /as response to original question/ would be old leitz elmar 3,5cm/f3,5. anyway CV skopar 35 2.5 pancake /as above suggested/ should be the best bang for the buck. i don' have CV 35 1.4, but i use CV 40 1.4 /about the same shape/ in regular bases and find it small and compact enough to coat pocket my bessa R3A with it.

so, hope to meet you in the heart of europe with outfit that suit you the most.

peace

I got a Konika hexar bag (i think its from an RF) to pull in the R2a and the 35 2.5 pancake with the shade. The bag is made of leather not of plastic as the one of Voigtlaender.

If you want a small lens which is not exactly easy to handle and which may well have haze in it, and the proper hood for which is insanely expensive, get a Summaron 35/3.5. Its pictures have a usually recognisable "look" to them.

thankyous for the quick replies.

i was thinking about the summicron 35/2. i would really like a fast lens.

but i dunno if it fits the bessa case.
