The Mysterious Missing Zeiss Sonnar 2/85 ZM

So has anybody actually seen and used this lens? Any reviews out and about as yet? Any pictures using it that can be viewed? Or is it perhaps so expensive that Zeiss has yet to sell unit one? I sure would like to know something concrete about the status of this most elusive of lenses, and it seems like we ought to know something by now. Have I perhaps just missed it?
I remain most curious.

I've handled it at Oberkochen and taken two pics with it. On this extremely limited acquaintance, it looks good; but I've been promised one 'soon' for months now. Time to put the pressure on again...

I have encountered a fews online shops that offer this lens. The credentials of the shops looked fine to me. Don't expect this lens to be popular though.

I'd really like to have it, because 85/90 mm is my favorite focal lenght and I do really like Sonnars, but the €2500 price tag is just beyond what I can currently afford to spend on a lens. Perhaps, sometimes...

I only wish I could afford it 🙁.

Sometimes I wish I had one. But then I see no reason why an 85/2 should be more expensive than the 75/1.4, Leica's all time flagship 🙂
