Cool!
Thanks for the link. I use this sort of trimming focus by quickly switching from S-AF to MF and adjusting with the magnifier.
It will be nice to have one less step to use this technique.

Have you used AF+MF combined with back-button focus? I can't get it to work if I'm not using the shutter button to focus. I'm stumped (Xpro1)

From what I can figure out this feature was never intended to be use where the af button on the back is used if I understand the question correctly. Looks like it is expected only as a way to fine tune your focus after af lock such as when u focus on a person and notice the eyes aren't totally in focus.

Indeed. That's exactly what I want to do, I'm just in the habit of focusing on the person with the back AE/AF button and I'd like to then tweak the focus from there. Sounds like I will have to wait for a future firmware tweak. Thanks for your reply!

i think I'm confused.
The AF+MF mode was intended to make MF adjustments convenient when the focus mode is AFS and focus can only be initiated a the shutter button half press.
In M focus mode you could either focus using the lens collar only, or intimate AF by pressing the AFL/AFE button. If the focus needed to be changed toughies was done using the lens focus collar.
Isn't AF+MF redundant when the camera is in M focus mode?
