I've seen that. The camera kinda ruined it for me. Bit of a sell out, though being an advertisement it's one anyway.

Emm...the markings were RFF'ed (meaning, taped over). Hardly a sell-out.

I thought it was interesting that they went for an old-school feel in this spot, while the M8 deftly brought it into the 21st century, while also being a nice plot device (chimping and all). Camouflaged or not, I'm certain the gang in Solms approved.
And, yeah, she (of course I'm talking about Ms. Tatou) is a sight for sore eyes, yes?
No. 5 doesn't always transport me, either...but that sometimes depends on the woman wearing it.

I saw this ad just last night, and it definitely caught my attention, first by Ms. Tatou, then i spotted the Leica and I had to mention to my wife (about the Leica)
. At which point, my wife rolled her eyes, and thought "typical camera geek".
I should have guessed that RFF would be abuzz today with talk about the ad

I saw it too
I saw it too
and had to let everyone to know when 1:42 was coming up ...
When I first saw the online video clip, I thought you could press display then arrow buttons to zoom like it looked like what she was doing, but no, you have to rotate the round dial still.
I liked Amelie, and the French Engagement movie as well as the Da Vinci code. It's too bad she wasn't in the Angels and Demons movie.

Speaking Frankly
The message was what:
http://www.imdb.com/media/rm781621504/tt0266987
- Excitement on the Orient Express?...Jame Bond the 1st rode it "From Russia with Love" going the other way you know.
- Chanel No:5?...of course, should have used an M5 then.
- Leica and chimping caught a close-up head shot of the dream guy between passing ferries at speed and still sharp, while the sun is setting at the Golden Horn...unlikely, not even with a Leica and whatever telephoto lens of whatever maximum aperture. If she had intended to capture a scenic shot but got cut off by the passing boat, then the M8/9 has a serious problem in lag time.
