All of this is great! More accurate frame lines are a good thing! Now all we need is the kind of focus peaking we see from Sony. Fuji really needs a better implementation on the X Pro-1 than we have now. It was great they offered it but I can hardly see the peaking. Something a little stronger would work better for me.
On the xe1 it is a bit better due to the better evf..
Has anyone got the xe1 or xp1 and has compared it to the xe2? Is the peaking better on the xe2? Or are u using the split image feature instead?

It does make all the difference when I was using the nex5n. I used yellow as my peaking color. Even though I was shooting for color.. I used monochrome mode.. The yellow stood out pretty well against on monochrome LCD or evf view.

Yes! Yellow, Red, Orange, or Neo Green on Monochrome would be brill for FP!

As far as I can see, no.

If u already updated from the last time if xe1 or xp1, no. The last one for lenses, if I remember correctly was for xe2.. However..... So if u have an xe2 and have not done the prior lens update, then the answer is different.
Anyway, after u update the camera body, if it detects your lens fw needs update, it will let u know when u reset by turning off/on for the first time after the upgrade.

Fuji's site has a complete list of lenses and bodies and the current firmware updates and the compatibility among them.

FWIW, I just purchased a brand new 18mmF2 and X-E2 and they came with firmware 1.0 and 2.01 (I believe, possibly 2.00) respectively.
I have upgraded both with the current versions a bit ago with no issues.

I just did the update on my X100S. Much improved. The main thing that I notice is the weirdness when going from capture mode to playback mode is fixed. When you pressed the play button before, it used to do some weird switching from the evf back to ovf back to evf. This seems to have been fixed.
Overall operation of the camera seems faster as well. I'll be using it a bit today, so I'll see if I find anything else!
Bravo Fuji!

Agh I forgot all my custom settings... Since they're all reset now I can't remember what was what. Oh well, I love the more accurate framelines, a very welcome improvement!
