Leica M glass apparently works fantastic with the Nikon Z. Including wide angles!
So you now have a 46mp camera with state of the art sensor that works w/o issues w M glass (unlike Sonys with their smearing due to sensor cover thickness).
I'm tempted to trade my M240 M100 anniversary edition for a Z7. I tested a Z7 in the store, and the build, handling, menus and EVF are outstanding.
Still curious to see what the upcoming Panasonic will bring.

I had the chance to handle the Z7 a few weeks ago, and it really does feel great. The shutter has a lovely damped sound, the grip is contoured but not too big at all, and with the 24-70 it feels very well balanced. I've never used a Nikon before, so it was interesting to see where all the buttons were. For the following week, I mulled over whether I should finally put Nikon on the want-list, haha. Knowing that it works well with Leica lenses pushes even more in its favour.

Huh, might as well update this thread.
Soooo... I bought a Z7 and a bunch of adapters. Including one for the Leica lenses.
And then tested a bunch of my M mount lenses on the Nikon.
Long story short... M glass still works better on my M240. So much for that.
On the upside, sold my D850 as the Z7 has more accurate AF with my Sigma Art lenses. It nails focus all the time. But the D850 handles much better and has better controls.

Well-known
a marriage of the D850 ergonomics and the Z-platform is in order.
