tried and R3A+Nokton of a friend of mine. He has the same vertical shift problem in the RF. Maybe the QC is not so strict with these cameras.

I also agree with what you said about the Nokton focusing - not comfortable at all to my taste, being one of the reasons for which I did not buy this lens.

Mentioning Leicas and putting all financial/emotional reasons aside - the Leicas I tried (M2/M3 of a friend and my own M6) had a much more comfortable and accurate RF systems then the Bessa.

The horizontal base length (between RF and VF windows) is much larger than in the Bessa, possible the reason for the difference in RF handling.
 
A good M3 is not much more expensive than a good R3A.
You trade functionality, of course (AE vs long EBL, for instance),
but effectively, on the used market, including CLA the difference
is around US 200. Less than most lenses cost.

Cameras are boxes only of course, etc ... YMMV.
