This is what I intend to do, I believe it's the right way to do it - to make sure of the integrity of the inverted colours before using ColorPerfect. I am not so sure applying a profile after inversion would be accurate as there would be no proper way to relate what the scanner output is compared to the output of CP.scan the IT8 with 48bit Vuescan to RAW TIFF file, then you create profile that you apply before using CF Colorperfect?
Edit: In fact, having done rather more research, applying IT8 profiling to a negative scan is a total waste of time! Subsequently, I have simply assigned a profile (sRGB) in Photoline, inverted and colour corrected.
