The Official RFF FIFA World Cup 2010 Thread

England looked like they had some sleep pills for dinner. Horrible game and I probably won't be able to sleep until late. Algeria fans are storming the Champs-Elysées honking all around. Almost a victory to them !

Yes Juan, very weird. If Spain gets through their group, they might have a chance, with all the regulars going home.. :)

I think Spain should be one of the eight teams, but I don't think it's easy for them to get to the final... And I think Argentina should win the cup... But in world cups, we all know any team can lose one single match and just go home... In a few days things will be hot!

Cheers,

Juan

Will the Japanese finally wilt under the relentless Netherlands attack? Will the Netherlands' sloppy fullback play finally cost them a cheap goal? Looking forward to the second half ...

give Korea and Japan another 4-6 years of progress and they will do much more than just defend well and count on counterattacks in matches against teams like NL, GER, ARG, ENG, BRA, SPA etc... lots of potential there!

Now we are favorites to win the cup? We have problems in defense, and we have not Nº 10. Big problems, but seems to be that there is no other teams doing well.

So now I've expectations about Argentina. Tevez is the key, and Messi is... Messi.

I hope all the big teams reaching decisive matches. Argentina, Germany, Netherlands, Brasil, Italy, Uruguay, hard to imagine England.

if only their keeper was on the same level as their defense...

hm. the Dutch were much more disappointing than the Germans yesterday, lucky goal, lucky win. I want Japan in the next round.
good referee too!

The Orange is the first team with two wins, correct? And without Robben.
But can the Orange play defense against a team with an organized attack?
Japan only had a counter attack. The Orange picked their pockets all game long.
Honda and that big fullback can play ...

nope, Argentina too.

OK. I had forgotten Argentina. Does anyone here think Messi looks like a more studly Dustin Hoffman?
And I agree that Tevez is the key for Argentina. He is the fulcrum for Messi's lever ...
