Yes, that old camera bug everybody is talking about! I think I've got mine! Literally!

It was sitting/hanging inside the viewfinder of my newly acquired Kodak Retina III Automatic:

BTW, other than that, the camera is the great shape and in perfect working condition, even the selenium meter works and accurate!

And now I have a dilemma, I don't really feel like taking apart the perfectly working camera, but I hate bugs and having this creature right in my eye really bothers me.😕

Let it clear the dust in the VF before you take it out, and maybe align framelines while at it. 😀 You got an internal source..

How the hell did it get there? It's a big freakin' bug. 😱

I think it may be a Kodak nanobot that was sent in for exactly what Dan described ... then they forgot to remove it!

I'm not usually a bug hater, but that would bother me too. How very odd.

I had to reread to see that the bug was actually in the viewfinder!
Yep, it is right between the outer glass and the movable lens.

I love it ... I think this could become a new trend for the hipsters!
LOL I just need to find the right hipster, then I can sell it to him for the price of a nice Leica!

It's dead, unfortunately🙁, so I have to do all the work myself. The good thing, looks like I don't have to touch the rangefinder assembly, just take the top off. The bug was there when I received the camera. Now when I open it up, I don't know what else could be inside😱
