I was shooting in heavy fog some time ago. I decided to finish off the remaining film in 3 cameras: Hexar AF, Maxxum 7, and Leica M2 with 50/2.

I used exp compensation with the Hexar and Maxxum. I corrected manually for focus error with the Maxxum, but could not with the Hexar. I used a digisix to meter with the M2.

Guess which camera was not fooled once by the fog? 🙂

Why not? The Hexar has manual focus.

I meant you cannot see it in the VF if the lens' focus is a bit off, as there is no optical rangefinder. You can guesstimate with the distance numbers in MF, but not very accurate either, unless you set it at infinity or hyperfocal distance, I guess.

The digisix light meter?

You should have used that metering for all your cameras. 😛

Horses for courses. The Hexar will take a properly focused picture of a black cat in a dark coal cellar without a hiccup. The M2 would be useless, unless you set it at infinity or hyperfocal distance, I guess.
