Looks to be much more substantial than any P&S camera. I like it.
I would like to see the images that were taken in that factory since the light looked a little dim.

Olympus is headquartered very close to the Martin factory--my parents live nearby. It's a great tour!

At first I was dismissive of the folks here who wanted an optical viewfinder for this camera. Watching this video, I kept thinking someone could put that nice camera to their eye and see through an optical finder with LCD framelines that change as they zoomed, focus confirmation and exposure information. That'd be just about perfect.
I don't think it'll ever happen though.

One thing I didn't hear in the movie....the shutter noise. Also LCD black out time seems typical of any point and shoot, take the picture then a pause because the LCD comes back on just like my GRD. I hope this thing is not horribly overpriced here in China like the G1 was...
funny how that works out, most of these things are made here, yet are way overpriced here, the G1 was almost double the price compared to the ones in America...and when I sold mine used it was still for more then a new one there.

LCD usable in bright light, most important thing I heard.

I just held one for 2 minutes...It was at a local camera store in Austin, Texas and a Olympus representative had it. It seemed to focus quickly, the lcd was nice, felt good in the hand and the shutter was very quiet, a dull cluck sound. It was lighter than I thought it would be and the stainless finish looked good. The rep mounted a adapter and put on a huge fisheye lens, the lens was bigger and heavier than the camera with the balance point all in holding the lens, very comfortable. No time to do anything with it but the menu seemed easy to navigate.
