I was taking some shots with my 35 CC the other day and was thinking what a great wee camera it is-apart from the lack of manual metering. Wouldn't it be great if someone was able to start manufacturing the 35 CC again but, this time, giving it fully metered manual instead of aperture priority auto?

What a machine that would be. Smaller and lighter and quieter than any Leica M series and with a lens that, from f2.8 upwards, is a match for a Summicron at least up to 10x12. Would there be a market for it? At the right price there would but I suspect the production run would be too small to benefit from economies of scale and the camera would end up costing £400-£500.

I wonder if the tooling still exists for the 35 CC and whether or not it woud be possible to set up a production line again. Maybe we could all chip in with a few bob!

35 CC- sorry about the duplicate posts!

Each time I tried to post my computer just froze, leading to me to believe that the message hadn't been sent. Obviously it had!

I'd buy one or two in a minute - just so long as the price wasn't rediculous. Unfortunately, we'll probably never get to.
