i should probably patent this idea…
the single most important factor in finding the perfect camera bag is first putting together the perfect camera kit!
put together your camera kit and NEVER CHANGE IT!
never add or edit out any gear AT ALL!
then find a bag that fits all your gear and and ALWAYS carry it all with you.
now, granted smaller, lighter kits might work better with this brilliant idea but no matter...
as an example…i use 2 fuji xe1 bodies and 3 fuji lenses…23/56 and the 16-50 zoom but keep that at 16 all the time. so my bag needs to fit 2 bodies with lenses attached and a single extra lens…along with 4 extra batteries, a graduated nd filter, some sd cards & business cards…and that is it.
so, if i NEVER CHANGE MY KIT…the bag that works with this is the perfect bag for me and will SATISFY FOREVER!
should you disagree with this hypothesis or differ in thought in any manner…please keep it to yourself as i much prefer to live in this fantasy for as long as humanly/photograhically possible!
