I will have sell off whatever I have in camera gear two months before Brian unleashes his inventory to the world. The other alternative is not to worry and to keep on holding on to the camera gear.

16 bids and what do you get?
16 bids and what do you get?
Yes, 16 bids but many from one person who just had to have it...and doesn't. It only takes one person who really wants something. Glad I have mine, but sure undersold my other one two years ago. Oh well. Note: I have seen the same bid escalation when I have tried to get the elusive Voigtlander double shoes. C'est la vie.

This is fascinating. At first I thought I was looking at a Buy It Now price, but this is auction with 16 bids.

Tennessee Ernie Ford thought it was "... another day older and deeper in debt." On second thought, that song was about "tons" (of coal), not bids.

Just to cheer you all up, a 1.5/50 Canon was offered on the Australian market a few months ago for AU$140 (about US$90) and it took a while to sell. I should have been interested but I had just bought one for about the same price.

Maybe our Aussie friends could grab a few Canon 50/1.5 at such a price and then offer them to RFF members living elsewhere.

I'm old enough to remember it fondly and even loaded it on my ipod. It shows up every now and again on shuffle... Glad I'm not alone in remembering. That's it Jim-that's the tune I was humming when I wrote my response.
As for Aussie prices on this lens.. I might be interested in a $100 Canon 50/1.5! They need to be bought up quickly and offered here.
EDIT UPDATE - Oh. Raid beat me to it! Well, I 2nd the motion.

Watch that step!
If I ever decide to sell off some lenses the market will flood and prices will drop. I feel like the national bank for camera lenses.
Brian, you need to come off that 1941 CZJ f1.5/50 T Sonnar......it will work/look so MUCH BETTER on my 1943' Leica IIIC K
