Thankfully you have taken those photos. They are an historical record. This is a part of Hanoi "as it was." Now it is tourists, Cafe Sua Da, salt plum sodas and citron pressé. But it is the same Viet Nam inside. The same people, the same dynamic, the same passions. So for the folks who want to travel half way around the world to look at the RR tracks, OK, good for them. But unchanged on the inside are the Vietnamese, those who made it so. That will always be there. The gift is the same, the wrapper has changed. ;o)
