Bob, I noticed that during the final proofreading and thought about whether I should change it. The R-D1 wasn't a factor when the project started and none of the contributions was digital so I left it as is with a mental note that whoever does Book 2 will need to update the world view. How quickly things change ...

Well, now that I've brought the issue up, I'll need to go take some better pictures than the ones I currently have in my gallery so that I can represent us digital folks properly in Book 2. 😀

My R-D1 is barely a month old now, so I still have a ton of catching up to do with all of you fancy published and experienced shooters! I need to change my title back to "Just learning how to focus a rangefinder" again. 😀

Hi all.

This is such a good idea; well done.

I just joined the forum last week to get at Lars' gear sale, but I think it's a great place and I'll be sticking around. I'm trying to choose a scanner in between lens purchases, so hopefully I'll be able to show you how much you can all teach me before too much longer.

I've tried to buy the book but I don't think Lulu thinks much of my office browser; I'll have to try later from somewhere else...

Fantastic and warm congrats to organizers, founders, and photographers. I will get copies soon.

Has anyone notified or sent copies to PDN or associated magazines? I'm sure they'd do a review; unless the mainstream publishing-FOR-PROFIT empires look down on folks who SELF-PUBLISH.... anyway, this book will further encourage photographers everywhere to self-publish, which is great.
