The Recession

I’m taking some stuff to a lab in Bradford (West Yorkshire) this week. There should be some suitable images to be had, Bradford hasn’t had any booms since the 1960’s but is still hit badly by each bust in turn.

So there should be some interesting pictures to be had assuming I survive, Lumb Lane a 200 yds north of the lab has the accolade of the most dangerous place in Europe, that’s why no one noticed Peter Sutcliffe’s escapades for so long. The whole city felt very tense when I was last there, ripe for a riot in the summer.

I thought about going in, but the better part of valour prevailed

Great photo of the forklifts, for anyone in Tokyo, this guy is part of a group show/photo lounge at the Foreign Correspondents' Club on the 20th floor of Yurakucho Denki bldg from 7pm on Friday.

This is what the recession looks like from my doorstep, in Iceland:
It breaks my heart to see things like this happen here in Iceland, where the nation is the size of a small town (~300'000), and we're almost like brothers and sisters.

Pardon the size on the last one. It needs to be seen large.

edit: oh, I know I'm listed as in Norway. Originally from Iceland, but live in Norway.

I think this is pretty on topic. I like the irony of this building, how it's empty, but it's called "New Promise Land Incorporated".
