I drive a biodiesel-fueled car, use post-processing to create digital negs for contact printing, and have built a spring reverb unit. Do those count?

The counter post is counter the culture, but the counter counter is counter the counter. Clear? Counterifically. (It's all humor. I don't think electric cars have much to do with one's photography, except for getting one to the location to take pictures. And with an electric car, it had better be close to home!)

Hey, if you prefer Leicas because they are very quiet, wouldn't an electric car be the logical choice of a Leica photographer? Not only would they not notice your Leica, they wouldn't notice the car you drove up in!

cool

Sure, the spring reverb unit is a type of amp, though little or no gain. Did you base it off the Fender 6G15 box or something else?

yeah

yeah

The Leslie speaker effect doesn't come through well on recordings, and was possibly more used for it's mild distortion characteristics.

My favorite modulations are the bias swing trem of the deluxe 6G3 power tubes, the tape echoplex, the 6G15 stand alone (or integrated where it can entirely run in front of the preamp/amp circuitry), and also the Magnatone 280.

Reverbs are cool for guitar. But whoever invented the Leslie speaker should have been banished to a desert island.

probably

probably

EVs and hybrids when running on elec. are eerily quiet. Like a Hexar AF vs a SLR. Sometimes too radical changes don't make it to market easily - e.g. electronic assisted suspension, CVTs. because of the big changes in feel/sound.

I responded that I'm not afraid to use digital or p/s.

But that doesn't mean that I choose to do so.

I just saw a bumper sticker at lunch.

I believe in (choose one):

You drive, or aspire to drive, an electric vehicle

When you can drive a motor-cycle, or a turbo diesel with Bio Diesel and 58 miles/gallon and much more power, that would be just plain silly :) Unless you mean Tesla.

I'm with you on all the other stuff though.

Cheers,

Roland.

Biodiesel is cool

Biodiesel is cool

Cycles and Hybrids are a step forward, but still usually rely on non-renewable energy sources.

Biodiesel is cool, but you have to find a source, plan your routes, modify or estimate mixing for cold weather, etc. It's been tempting for me to find an old VW or MBZ beater diesel and convert for it, but all electric technologies are moving forward fast.

For all electric, yes I mean Tesla, but car companies have created these vehicles in the past, and you see many of them around N. Calif.: ~ 1500+ RAV4s for Calif., and conversions, etc.

It's so exciting, I am thinking of starting an electric vehicle company!
