The sad impact of inflation on the bad fake Leica industry.

The first one is shown as a "Leica Copy" but the correct term is counterfeit. A copy is more honest, usually bearing the true name of the manufacturer.

The second one is even more clearly a counterfeit: They didn't even bother to call it a copy. It is being sold as an actual Leica.

False items can be reported.
 
I was once shown a 250 Reporter that had been made in Poland using parts of a III. It was very, very good and far from cheap. The wear (it was black) seemed perfectly authentic.In those days it was called a copy.
 
And I don't get the "from JAPAN" statement that is in the description of many of the true and fake Leica items sold on eBay nowadays....
