the photos are very convincing they really do a fantastic b&w i have been sitting on the fence abut the sigmas SD1 which is now affordable or wait and see what the quattro has to offer:)
 
I think the Quattro used as a monochrome camera maybe better than the Merrill.. If u are looking for a sd I using Quattro however, no one is sure when they are going to release that upgrade. Sigma stated they were pushing for early summer for dp2q release.

In digital, outside of the Leica monochrom, the tonal quality is the best.

So I have returned to Sigma, recently purchasing a DP1X after having had the original DP1 and later, the DP2M. I just started into my first dump and had forgotten how brutally sharp these things can be, especially during a bright Carolina afternoon. They almost deliver an HDRness to the files in these conditions -maybe a bit of my processing does not help?
