I bought my Retina IIa in march this year and it was love on first sight. My first rangefinder, the first time I have been able to do serious street photography. The camera is great. The small rangefinder is the only thing I don't like about this camera, it makes composing somewhat difficult.
Anyway, I have now shot exactly 30 rolls with this phantastic cameras and it is time to show some results.

The Retina is a fun little camera. I've has several and still have one as a carry around camera..
The Retina IIa has a great lens, and the wind lever on top deck- which is more convenient. I end up grabbing the IIIc or IIC because of their larger viewfinder.
Just a thought: most of your photo's look like they have deep DOF and could easily have been set for the hyperfocal distance. Why not get a nice big, external 50mm finder? Would make framing easier.

I really like these!!!
The only good thing about this thread is that I have 5 Retinas, a 3 IIas I think.

Some of those shots are from where I live, great! It's sort of nice to know that I'm not the only one goofing around here with old cameras
One day I'll get myself a nice IIC.

Thanks for the input everyone
That is a good idea, I always set the camera for the hyperfocal distance if I can, so maybe an external viewfinder is the answer.
I spent my vacation in Finland but had only a few hours in Helsinki. It was the oddest thing. You would think you should go to cities like New York, London or Paris for street photography but not Helsinki. And yet, I felt very inspired there and took lots of shots in only a few hours. Helsinki is a good city for street photography, something that was very unexpected for me.
