…with a wind chill of -33c!

really?!
wtf is a guy supposed to do?

too damn cold for a walk let alone try some street shooting!
i can't get excited over table top shooting…

maybe a trip to the museum or something?

It's winter here, but it still in the low 80s F (~+27c) right now, the reason I put up with living on a small island at the end of the road.

So that's -- what? About 5 degrees Fahrenheit? I know there is some seriously cold air in the middle of the US right now, moving east toward me but will be moderating. What is it in Winnipeg, I wonder?

Yeah, I'd worry about film tearing in weather like that, and batteries draining really fast. Museums tend to have wonderful lighting for photographs.

What was I thinking? -23C is more like -10F. Impressive, but nothing like Yellowknife, I guess.

.

Simple Solution: Join the Arctic Two Hundred Degree Club.

1. Set the sauna on HIGH,
2. Sit in the sauna for a half hour,
3. Sprint from the sauna to the cold,
4. Jump naked into the snow,
5. Roll around on the ground screaming,
6. Because you're having a coronary.

You're welcome!!

-27C this morning in Calgary, walked the dog while the OM-1 was on my neck.
couldn't bother taking any shots as I was just dying to get back home

Minus 23c is minus 9.4F. While that doesn't sound as bad, you won't see me out there on a day like that. Head for the museum, Joe. Better yet, stay home and review your collection of photo books; make some prints; organize negative files; build a slide show. Winter is for all those things we don't have time for in the summer.

I have absolutely no idea how you folks do it!
It's mid thirties in Seattle today and I'm wearing all my clothes!
-23? forget it!
Stay warm mate! It's a good day to edit some images on file already :p

When I saw this I figured you were in FL... I had to turn the AC back on (low 80s as well) which bummed me out. I guess no one is going to really sympathize though...
