Excuse the political incorrectness, but it would have been "man" - this is Amateur Photographer before the sexual revolution!

I wondered if Leicaphiles might enjoy the attached advertisements from AP, December 19, 1962. It's an interesting thought that some of the used equipment could now belong to RFF members 🙂

Incidentally, at the time there were $2.81 to £1.00.

Smashing ad. I have one from a Leica Fotografie from 1968 or something and if I was working then at what turned out to be my first job it would have taken me 8 months of pay to buy a Leica body. Times have changed...

When you get past the gender bias, that ad really does articulate the essence of Leica. (Apologies to those not [yet] swayed by Leica!) 🙂
