The Three Amigos - Felipe Calderon, Stephen Harper and George W. Bush - met this week in Canada. Felipe and W. will be doing the Dine & Dash equivalent this morning, with the Mexican leader anxious to survey the Hurricane Dean damage, and the US leader to tend to his own Hurricane Dean concerns.
Overall, it has not been the best time for the Security and Prosperity Partnership Summit. Hurricane Dean aside, there is the mining accident in Utah, the Endeavour damage (and subsequent repair), the earthquake in Peru, etc. - all of which took away from the quest for middle ground on issues ranging from energy, to arctic sovereignty, and tightening the proverbial reigns on immigration.

About the only thing that has been accomplished is the trilateral agreement to control outbreaks of disease pandemics and other transborder emergencies.

The Globe & Mail has a lovely article about the abbreviated summit... for all those interested about how the Three Amigos got on in the Quebec woods this week.
