I was rummaging around Tim Isaac's web site looking at all his Thumbs Up thumb rests and bemoaning the fact that they seemed only for digital cameras and then I saw one on a Leica III. The model was the CSEP-2 Thumbs Up. Tim thought it should fit on a Barnack. Well, it fits my 1935 Leica Standard like a glove. Not only that but the Thumbs Up gave my Leica Standard a new sense of empowerment. It wasn't just an little old Leica any more. It was someone! It was modern and up to date. It promptly jumped into my vest pocket and beat the crap out of my Panasonic Lumix GX1 throwing it on the floor leaving it whimpering while it settled in. I guess I will have to do some shooting with it.
