I was just wondering, and I thought you guys might know the answer to this one, about the options for digital cameras with a "traditional" look. What I mean by this is simply a shutter speed dial on the body with the f-stop being dialed in on the lens. I believe the M8 has this, but I would never be able to afford it. I was just curious if the M8 was the only option for having a digital camera with the look and feel of a traditional camera?
Thanks!

That and the R-D1, really...
There's that Panasonic/Leica DSLR with a shutter speed dial, but it has the typical digital buttons and LCD on the back and the tiny viewfinder you'd expect in a 4/3 mount camera.

THanks for the quick response! THats pretty much what I thought....not going to afford those options any time soon! I just was thinking today that what I miss in the electronic film SLR's (like my Nikon F100 I sold a while back) or my digital SLR (a D50) is the look and feel of the cameras I grew up with. When I win the lottery I may try the M8!
gb....I was in a slump I guess, plus its a busy summer, not a lot of free time. But when I do go out with a camera, or go to shoot something, I have been switching between 5 or so different cameras! Its a bad habit because now I have film in like 4 different cameras! I am still using the Bessa T, but since I have only one M lens (the Nokton SC) I which back and forth between the Bessa and my Leica CL (thats just whim really)! Will have more photo time (ie me time!) when the summer is over!!
