All this bokeh talk makes me crazy - I have been involved in professional photography and lab work since the 70s, and back then nobody even knew what bokeh meant (do we now?) - lens reviews seldom talked about the relative smoothness or appearance of out-of-focus highlights, and few obsessed over them. Do non-photographers interpret the images we are describing as having "bad" bokeh as somehow less than ones that are good? While I love a smooth creamy background, there's a place for everything. The agreed upon good images seem to combine less conmplex backgrounds with OOF image circles most close to perfect circles - which many lenses achieve pretty well wide open and less so when the aperture clips the circle to some other shape....I say whatever! Heresy, I know.

Zuiko 50/2.0
indeed a gem - tiny & more affordable as the Zuiko 90 ;o)
at short distances i appreciate the extended depth of field.
Quality at the same Level as the 2013 MacroPlanar 50, at analog 'sensor' even a tiny bit stronger - Keep in mind it's a design from another 'decade'
