Roland - nice engine shot - what is it? And how did you get the Canon to focus so close?

since this seems to be nothing about rangefinders, and all about bokeh. here are two w/ the 105/2.5 ais nikkor on nikon f3:

hehehe...actually i didn't think of that. i use the screen in the F3 that has a rangefinder spot in the middle of the ground glass, and i always use that to focus. so it is *kinda* a rangefinder :D

"Backwards Bokeh"
Fuji GS645s, close focus, wide open (f/4).
Looking at the smashed remains of a 100 year old hotel/ cathouse in a ghost town in North Eastern Washington State.
Cropped to about 24x36; would've been better served by a 35mm camera that day!

Thus far I haven't attempted to take a photo to show bad bokeh. If it looks awful in the VF then I need to work around it. In a real-life situation, I think that bokeh can add or subtract to the image depending on how it is used.

There aren't any bokeh monsters in my closet, but some of the pleasing ones are:

Voigtlander 125mm f/2.5SL APO Lanthar Macro (two photos):

Why thank you Doug and NB23. That is my favorite image I took of her, though she likes this one more.
