The ultimate Bokeh thread; pics please

I haven't posted to this thread in a while - glad to see its still running! Here's a couple of shots for comparison. Both are taken with a wartime CZJ Sonnar 50mm f1.5 on the R-D1.

@f1.5 - soft and abstract, with foreground veiling flare:

The first shot was taken with a Leica Digilux 3 using a Vario Elmar 35-70f4 lens on macro. The second and third were taken with the Summilux 25 1.4D.

Lately I've been enamored with a Rolleiflex E2 2.8 Planar that I purchased from another RFF'r. These shots don't make dramatic use of BOKEH, but I think the Rollei renders the out of focus areas beautifully (I'm excited to try it with Macro adapters)...

Digital Intrigue, that's great - there must be so many shots of loved ones driving. When they're behind the wheel you have them trapped!

I love that old steering wheel...
 
Yes, I love that shot, it's my Mom. 🙂 She's now 85 and going strong.

The photo was taken with a 50/2 Nikkor and Kodachrome was ASA 10 back then, so I'm sure it was wide open, it's pretty amazingly sharp for the slow shutter speed that would have been required.

all you have to do is to buy an adapter, take your Canon 450D, attach your OM Zuiko 1,4/50 lens and shoot wide open...

Not a RF but I wanted to show my Pentax SMC-M 50mm F/1.4 using a custom hood to produce swirly bokeh . Some people love swirly bokeh ( including me ) . They say it's much better to use a hood on the rear element instead of the front element but that's kind of diffucult sometimes . This lens is a favourite and produces very good bokeh ( with or without the custom hood ) as some people have already shown in this thread.

I shot a fuji velvia box against a crumbled tin foil using a Pentax K100D ( APS-C sensor ) .

I'll come back with some better pictures using my custom hood.
