It's a 40mm, right? Few produced, so they're scarce and prized by collectors. No thanks. I"m guessing price is determined by collectors, not optical performance.

i think i read that they were made as a cheaper alternative to the summicron 40 and that they were not very good, or at least, not as good as the summicron c.
