P.S.
"Street photo" is dead in its original meaning, regardless how many summicrons and rolls of TriX400 are used. Those attributes will not bring back what's gone- real life on street. Time to look for the new aesthetics, I believe.

I didn't mean to sound snarky. You've posted a bunch of images, each one better than the last. Really nice stuff. You obviously know how to get the shots you want on the street. And get people's cooperation also.
The guy in the Husker Du t-shirt in front of the stuffed bear poster is excellent.
And by the way, I don't really know what was meant by "back shot" in the first place. I just thought it was humorous that Simon finally applied yardsticks to the replies.

Thank you and I am not sure the label street photography ever lived. I just try and make visually strong images. I call them photographs. I think good photography is good photography and categories are silly. Having said that I am just as guilty as anyone else when it comes to using those two words. I think work showing real life are as important today as they have been at any point in time.

No offense taken. Thanks for the crit good or bad. LoL getting cooperation is sometimes just finding the moments. The guy in the window at the bar sitting almost exactly like the painting behind him shifted his position the moment after I took the photograph. I took the photograph while I was walking past on the street and the very next step I took also changed my relationship to him and his orientation to the painting. I generally look for leading lines, repeating shapes, relating tones, etc.

rwintle, I wasn't familiar with the VF101, so I just searched online. Dinky little thing, isn't it? How does it work out with that ultra-short rangefinder?
