Simon - you've got punchy blacks in your images and I like that. But some of them just seem unnaturally as if you took ACR's "Clarity" slider to the max and I don't like that.

Here's one to piggyback on the people-sitting-down theme:




I also agree with Simon (SimonSawSunlight) when he says "i think i enjoy the tone in this thread. beats complimenting each other forth and back a million times for having pressed a button" but that doesn't mean I can't try to give a compliment or two. :)

This thread has reduced the number of people shots I've taken on the street. Reproducing cliche is just embarrassing, so I'm on the lookout for better photos, in the vein of several others here.

I totally agree :) My street shots have always been just a bit of fun and the crappy processing is a result of that. Too quick to whack them up in the RFF gallery and no real thought behind the aesthetic that I'd like for the digital output. I've recently deleted my entire gallery in the knowledge that I need to revisit my original files and process them with more thought - though I won't be trying to emulate a film look per se.

No punches being pulled is another reason I'm enjoying this thread so thanks for your honesty.
