You guys have managed to chase off everybody with interesting images and replace them with an extremely dull self-admiration society who are praising each other's boring, silly cliches (which you claim to not want).
Grainy black and white, maudlin social commentary, uninteresting photos which consist of grab shots in the subway or street by timid "photographers" who just push the shutters on a crowd.
I have not seen one halfway decent photo by Monz, Sparrow or the rest. You chased away Taipei-Metro and all the others who have an "eye".
The last 7 or 8 pages are totally dull, visually humorless nonsense which are aping 1960's "street" photography without benefit of any perception.
You really have no clue about what you are looking at. Stick to camera collecting, photos of your Leicas, cats and sandwiches.
So join in Boris. You added some imagery earlier, why stop? You've had your say on other peoples images as others have on yours and as some have on mine. If you find the photographs posted dull and cliched add yours to show what you believe to be more perceptive and visually inspiring.
I'd hope no-one has been "chased off" due to a few differing opinions, man...it's only an internet forum:bang:

This isn't the back room of the newspaper's photo department. We're not looking at each other's prints come up in the developer and we're not waiting to see if tomorrow's photo story subject flakes on us. I've done that before and if I want the type of critique that I would have gotten there I'll ring up or stop by the real-life friends with whom I've sweated and bled. I'm 24, you're not 24, that doesn't make either of us right except perhaps in our own minds.
This here, this here is a place where people shoot spitballs at the wall to see what sticks. I'm one of these people and you've made yourself one of these people. And I'm completely okay with this thread existing in the world because its continued existence is proof that someone enjoys its existence and perhaps benefits from its existence. The internet is big enough for all of us.
(and here I am, feeding trolls instead of enjoying using my camera...)

HEY!!! Settle down, you guys. How about some useful criticism? I've long been interested in what people think makes a GREAT street photograph. So why don't you each submit your definition here. (And anyone else that has some ideas too, please.) And then maybe suggest some images (either yours or reference someone else's) that meet your criteria. And maybe try to keep this discussion upbeat and useful to the rest of us?
