what?
. . . .
i learned something else: good street photography requires as lot of time with a lot of people one doesn't know. i don't much like crowds of strangers, so i seldom practice; ergo, my hit rate is about 1 per 1,000 frames - or less ...![]()
This is pretty much how I feel also. Doing it well is not easy, and, well, it's also not my personal style for making pictures.
However, this thread (subtracting some of the commentary) is showing me more interesting edges of "street photography".

I for one am thankful for Boris's 3 photos of post 314 because he clearly makes a statement that might rub some photographers the wrong way. Street photography and photography in general is in it's essence voyeurism at least if we photograph strangers or other things. In fact I would feel less comfortable with sparrow would he have liked these photos but one can't deny the fact that they are street photograpy.

... I was thinking more of the unsubstantiated accusations against two identifiable individuals in the photographs, claiming one was a prostitute and the other her client ... not to mention his imaginings as to the content of her bag.

I don't know if it's street or not, but it's a great shot.

Sorry my bad I honestly thought that it was about the picture I never even read the text. Though he might be right the profession not the content of her bag. I also see nothing wrong with prostitutes it's a job nothing more. (I do not condone forced prostitution or what pimps and johns do to some of them)
