Why don't more people here visit the Unofficial Cosina-Voigtlander Community site?
When it started up about a year ago I guessed that I'd see many RFF people over there. But no. That's a shame because the equipment reviews are very good.
Have other people visited and not returned? Or is it a bit unknown?
Disclaimer: It's not my site, and I don't even know the owner.

I've read some of the reviews there and think it's well done.
I think, from a practical sense though, many people think of RFF as the Bessa Community.

I used to visit that website very often until it was basically taken over by you-know-poo. I find his trolling activities quite irritating and that is the reason why I stopped visiting. I like the community on RFF and since I'm am interested in all types of rangefinders, not just CV stuff, I find RFF more suitable for me in terms of content. Nevertheless, a good thing has resulted from the Cosina-Voigtlander site for me. I started communicating with a member from Australia there and we've become good pen-pals.

Jon - thanks for the HU. There is some good stuff on the site and certainly worth reading.

I've visited occasionally, but to be honest in view of RFF, seems like that site is somewhat redundant. I'm also on some of Stephen's email lists, so between that and RFF, that's plenty of enough distraction for me!

I agree with the others that FRANKly, the POOing keeps me away. Some people shouldn't be allowed on ANY forum.
I agree Brian's reviews are very good and I always read them. Thanks Brian!

I visit from time to time. It's Frank (mostly), and that other dude.
Brian's pieces make it well worth going there.

All four 'latest discussions' two months old, and by he-who-must-not-be-named. No way.

It looks like a one man show to me, and close to no interesting content.
Edit: I meant the forum. Not Brians articles.

It's only a one man show if we don't join in.

Frankly, FrankG (the current one man show) is the reason people are staying away in droves. I think everyone should see his appropriately named ******** website (Google for it) at least once. It says far more about the man who runs it than those he is mocking. Nothing but bad karma there, IMO. I wish, for FrankG's sake, that he could get on with his life in a more positive and mature manner. I actually enjoyed his quirky humour and style, and sometimes felt that in the beginning he was treated somewhat unfairly, but then he clearly went too far over the edge.

Brian,
I shouldn't have said that I stopped visiting entirely. I do visited the website, perhaps once a month or so, just to check for new articles but I won't log into the forum area. I respect your decisions concerning FrankG and I certainly admire the work you've done on your website. I'm just being honest my with my for not visiting/participating.

Okay everyone, I've installed a more advanced forums package that has some banning & security features that the older one (aptly named "Simpleboard") didn't.
And I'm using the features
Please let me know what you think. I have a feedback thread & poll going HERE.
Any further suggestions can go in the Feedback Forum HERE
Thanks everyone for your (mostly) polite honesty and support. Most people realize that I'm trying to do something beneficial for the RF community and not detrimental.
Again, thanks (and thanks so much to Jon for starting this thread in the first place
...and to "MPReeves" for his polite feedback in my forums, too.)
