It's not my app, genius, and I have absolutely no personal contact (nor any affiliation) with the developer.
Notice I did not link directly to the app here, but to my photo-blog, where I have posted a review.
I was simply trying to share a very helpful piece of information.

I have tried numerous different apps and elektronic watches. In the end a sheet of paper togethter mith a mechanic stopwatch turned out to be the most reliable, comfortable, flexible and spill resistant solution to the problem. You need to use your brain more, though, which is a good thing, if you ask me.

Can you show the original post and review on the blog are the same person as the app developer? I cannot see any obvious link between the two, and wonder why there is such a rush to judgement that it is spam.
If you look at the poster's website, does his review of Tri-X and TMax prove he owns Kodak?
The app looks interesting, but I don't have an Android. BTW, I am not connected to any of the parties involved in this discussion, so am not a spammer. I think the blog has a number of interesting posts and reviews- again, no financial interest 🙂

I have been using THAT timer on my Droid 2 for 2 months now.
There is a NEW App has all the 7700 preset 20c timers with 30s Agitation (as the iPhone App) called The BW Deveoper Full ($0.99). The free Version has no agitation signal... AND, you can't tweak any of the timers like you can in "The Darkroom Timer"... yes, you DO have to build your timers in The Darkroom Timer, but, this allows total customization. AND the Darkroom Time has a Save-Light mode that has a red glow too.... 😎😀 AND has large fonts that are used... us with older eyes, like this feature.

I tried this one, but it keeps just crashing on my HTC Desire, so its too unreliable on my phone, i'll just keep using my regular timer.

Great app, I use it instead of "The Darkroom Timer", But I like TDT's visual better.
BTW, the bug he found that did not allow any sound on the Droid 2, was from an email I sent him.. within 24h he had an update to fix it.... Great CS !! I'm sure he got other emails with that bug report. But, I like to think I had a hand in helping find the bug. 😛

Look, some popular iPhone App prices are insane! As your post suggests. so you make up a reason to support price gauging.
Marketing Hype has you by the Balls... and Wallet.
Don't defend market fraud in pricing, JUST because it's an "Apple" product, or sold through the ONLY OUTLET Apple allows..
The Technology is just that... Technology.
Nothing magical about iOS... it is just Apples Technology.
Rant over...
Complain to the developer that you won't pay, when other apps are more in line with overall pricing.
I'd say $10.00 is tops for a great app... on any OS....
