Got a box of various camera stuff in today. Filters, self timer, cable releases, and a meter. 16 pieces total. And in the middle of it all was a Ceneiplan 32mm 2X Green push-on filter. Just what I had been looking for (well, except it didn't say Voigtlander). Never thought I would find one, much less in the great shape it was in. Sometimes, good things do happen to those who give up looking.

Now if I could just get my hands on a Voigtlander rangefinder...

Nice find!

I found (for my CLR) that a nice clean alloy lens hood looks the part, should help with suppressing flare too.

Agree with you there Dave, that's why I got one. When I found the Vito B at a flea market, it was really cheap, and aside from a little cosmetic problems with the chrome top, it is a beautiful little camera. So I started to get all the bits and pieces to make a full kit of it. Some filters came from England, and an original leather lens cap from South Africa. Don't remember where I got the Kontur finder, but most of the other pieces came from the states. I even have an original shipping box. But unless I can find a Voigtlander rangfinder for much less than they are going for on eBay right now, I'll stick with my DeJur.

It was at times nerve wracking trying to get all the parts, with getting outbid at times, and wondering if I should go ahead and pay the BIN price for something, or wait for the auction of the same thing to maybe get it cheaper, while standing a chance on loosing the bid. I think this is the last camera I will try to fully equip with OEM parts from now on.

Nice! All I can find locally for a 32mm push on filter is a UV...and they want $25 for it!

That would be awesome. What I am really hunting after is a red filter for shooting some b&w. I want to see this high contrast that folks talk about.

As far as I can tell, Voigtlander did not put out a red filter in the 32mm push-on style. I have not seen a part number listed, and have never seen one for sale. But I have seen other brands, so I know they exist. You could also get a 32mmPO-to-Series V adapter, and then any brand of Series V #25 red would do.

What other filters are you looking for?

Pretty much any...since I lack any! ;) Okay..I will search for the adapter you mention. Are these produced new? Or should I be on the watch for a vintage one?

I haven't tried it yet, but this site is well recommended by several people.

The adapter is definitely an old item, as they haven't been made for many, many years. Sometimes on ebay you can find sets of Series V filters in a plastic case, and with a hood. I got one with an Argus A2B that had a 23.5mm to Series V adapter included. It might also say 1 1/4" instead of, or including the metric size.

I'll check my lot now to see what's extra.

Easier and less expensive to get a set of Series V filters, etc. and an adaptor. Locating and paying for original accessories is not going to be inexpensive unless the luck of the Irish is with you. I have a decent selection of Series V and VI filters and adaptors for use or them on several cameras I own rather then a set of dedicated filters for each camera. I even use my fairly large selection of 62mm filters from my Bronica on my Olympus E-520 kit lenses via a 62-58mm adaptor rather than investing hundreds of dollars in a set of 58mm accessories.

The Vito B is an excellent camera and the finish is about as mar free as any camera I've ever owned. Mine has not a single mark on it and it has never been babied since I bought it. The Color-Skopar lens screams for color film unlike so many other cameras from that period that seem to make better love with B&W.

I just stumbled on a Vito B locally for $30 and 2 filters and a metal hood kit in a leather case for $20 that I think goes to the Vito.

The Vito has some discoloration/marring on top, but seems ok otherwise. I put it down when I couldn't get the shutter to fire... although I have since learned the shutter only fires when film is loaded.

I don't know, is $50 bucks for a Vito B with a hood and filters in fairly good condition a reasonable price?

I do not monitor the prices of these but IMHO, if it has the Prontor SVS shutter and Color-Skopar lens, it is well worth it. Load a junk roll of film and test the shutter. There is a sprocket in the camera drven by the film that sets the shutter. Expect the camera to need a service even if it appears to fire as well as assuring the lens focus point is correct.

The Color-Skopar lens B I have is marvelous with color film. I am not generally a color negative shooter and when I use the film, I used to prefer using the B to my Leica CL. The color resulting from this camera is so wonderful.

The camera itself for me is almost perfect in terms of balance, weight and hand fit. I would have liked the lens to retract so it would be pocketable but nothing it perfect. Also, the strap lugs leave me cold and I do not think I'd ever feel comfortable using a strap on them. However, I have the leather case so it is not an issue.

If the filters and hood are marked with ###/32, they fit the Vito B and the Perkeo. They should also fit later 'C' versions of the Vito.

Those are good prices on the camera and accessories. I got a bargain on my camera at $15, but most everything else was not cheap. But I did get a good deal on the Kontur finder after seeing them go for triple what I paid. It is a very handy gadget to have, and it works really well.
