Thank you very much, Dogman. I realized lately looking through my archive that a lot of my candid shots are of the backs of people's heads. Back in my mid-20s I discovered there was a swing dance club that would meet in a run-down cinderblock dance hall more or less across the street from my dad's house, where I was living at the time. It was $3, played music I liked, included lessons, I could walk there and full of people more or less my age. Best entertainment in the Tri-Cities for your dollar. Unfortunately due to my back pain and chronic illness it ended up making the actual dancing less and less fun so I'd spend a lot of time sitting down, watching people dance, talking to people and listening to the music.

I love these two in particular. The second for the low angle and obscured face and the first for the leading lines from the table drawing your eye to the man dozing. I love his moustache and hat, love how he's placed between the leading lines of the table and those of the fluorescent lights, which lead to the door behind him. It's very atmospheric. And I know exactly the kind of guy he is and the kind of conversations we'd have sitting there. I love your use of color toning too. Makes the waiting room feel less antiseptic, more humane.
