One of these days I need to take my adopted from Vietanm son back to his birth city of Phan Thiet which, of course, would necessitate a visit to Saigon and a flight through Tan Son Nhat (which to Americans of my age and older has so many interesting connotations... ) I remember though that they had almost no animosity over the "American War" and had many a good moments sharing a beverage or three with veterans from all sides. Though I was too young to have fought there, I had been in the American Army and that was acceptable to them since we all had "absent friends".

Post processing is kosher as far as I am concerned. If I could not digitally manipulate my images I would sell my camera and take up tiddly-winks. 😀

Another Hong Kong dawn and mist shot taken by me in 2012. It definitely has a Pictorialist vibe - though I had not really thought about it before, that I can recall.

Two forest in mist shots taken in the hills above my home town, Adelaide. There is something about misty shots that to my mind evoke the idea of Pictorialism.

"Digital Imaging Been VERY, VERY good to me" 45 years working in Optical Sciences since Digital Imagers were in the "Advanced Concepts" stage.

This is a photo I just made with my iPhone of an 8x10 print on my Living Room wall. The print itself was created by scanning a small SX-70 Polaroid print I made in 2006 on Polaroid's original Time Zero instant film.
That original Polaroid image, and this scanned print, have an extremely Impressionist look. I was amazed when I made it, sitting right there at that lake. The photo is certainly sharp, yet the colors and softness make it appear to be a painting.
