Don't talk to me about an M10. I struggled to get the M (262) and I'm happy.
You can order a black dot from DAG.There ought to be a Leica Law that Says...
"...on a black camera replace the red dot with a black dot, and if you can't find a black dot then find a piece of black tape."
I think the red dot looks great on the chrome, but I find it just plain annoying on black cameras. Of course, they can take the same photos and I love the cameras in general though. ;-)
A friend now shooting a major story in M.E. and I have often discussed a "digital: Leica.
The final judgement is a NO!
Too soon obsolete, lack of reasonable service and adjustments in timely manner.
We both love our film Leica, which is a money maker in his case.
I am retired so no needless expenses and all too soon obsolete.
I've been hanging round here for at least a decade and still no-one has explained to me whether I have to get a red dot before I can put black tape on my MDa 😛

Don't produce watches... ligthers and key rings.. Leica should stick with cameras and optics.
Perhaps not a law but a rule: Never sell anything Leica. You'll only buy it back again at a higher price 🙂
The Leica watches make no sense to me; they are going to cost as much or more than a premium Swiss chronometer made by Breitling, Panerai or Rolex.
A joint venture by Rolex and Leica resulting in a GMT Master II with a red bezel, red face (possibly offering white as a second option) and the jubilee bracelet with the Leica logo laser etched into the watch back would have been a Leica connoisseur's dream watch.
Just sold y M3+Elmar 2.8...+1. Wish I had my 2.8 Elmar back.
