OK, just got the Hartmut Thiele book, and while it is mostly just page after page of lists, and fairly self-explanatory, I can't figure out what a couple of column headings mean in English, and online dictionaries have not been helpful. If anyone would be kind enough to tell me what the terms "rechng" (an abbreviation of beginning of production date, perhaps?) and "kameraanpassung" mean in English, I would appreciate it.

The "rechng" term is defined as in the front of the book as "Datum der optischen Rechnung fur das spezielle Objektiv, Zeitraum von 1910 bis 1989"

Thanks!

Hi Dexdog,

rechng = abr. for Rechnung engl. = calculation
Kameraanpassung = camera adjustment

Hope it makes sense in your context.
Cheers

This means: date of origin of the optical formula for this lens (from 1910 to 1989)

"Anpassung" can be adjustment oder adaption, so that might also be the mount type column

HTH Sevo

Thanks for the response. The mount-type column appears to be labelled as "Fassung", and includes Contax, M42, Practica, Exacta, etc. Still not sure what the camera adjustment refers to, but it's not a big deal.
