Things that work for you

Over at PN I found a thread which I consider interesting but it turned to a political flamewar and the moderators worked overtime to delete it befor I could post my answer.

So here are the things which work for me:

Contax G2 kit
Canon D60 with Sigma 17-35 EX DG HSM
Sony portable TV from 1981 (I won't buy a new one befor this breaks)
Mini Cooper S Convertible Cooper Works (red like a fireengine and hot as a jalapeno)
Tri-X at EI200 in Amaloco AM74

Things usefull to have fun with the above:
Dell 8200 Notebook with 1Gig RAM
Canon FS2710 scanner
ITunes to get enough Merengue, Bachata and Salsa (and some Regeaton) for my car
Langenscheid spanish course to talk to the chicas I pick up with the music in my car :)

LOL, And I thought my '92 Sanyo TV was old! I too refuse to get a new one until this one dies. My parents got it for me back when I went to college.

Other things that work:
Chips & Salsa mmmm......
Beer
Bessa-L
Getting off work early on Friday so I can shoot some with Bessa-L, then go home and have some chips & salsa w/beer... Priceless.

That thread has gone already? Amazing!!

So my list would be:
Leica M6+50mm Elmar+Neopan film
Domke F-2 bag (now 18 years old)
Sony portable TV from 1988 (partially broken already but I can still use it)
Home built computer with monster Intel CPU, gigs of RAM, 800 gigs of HD space, HP DVD writer, etc
Handspring Treo mobile phone/email/pda
Manchester United
Volvo V70XC Cross Country (turbocharged - a wolf in sheep's clothing)
and last but definitely not least - my kids/family :)

Three fingers of scotch over a couple of ice cubes.
Ditto.
Shooting at 1/500th so I don't loose all my shots to blur.

Russian lenses on a Bessa
Having a job with a generous vacation package so I can travel somewhere new each year
Middle-eastern classical music
My Canon F-1N
Neopan 400 @ 800
Puligny-Montrachet

GraLab Timers
Hendrix
Pre '64 Winchesters
Beefeater martini, 3 Anchovy stuffed olives (vegetables and fish)
Russell Banks
Denis Johnson
Gibson Mandolins
Danner Boots
Tipitina's and the Maple Grove

(Cameras have seemed rather controversial around here lately, so I'll keep those preferences to myself:D)

Walking into the local antique mall and finding a Nikon M Unsynced in its MIOJ case with Zeiss 5cm f2 lens and then a Nikkor 25cm F4 RF lens with N-F tube.

Good thing I gave up Ice Cream for Lent.

hmmm,
a large plate of real, spicy goulasch with lots of beef for dinner
followed by ethno-jazz live in a small dark club
which i'll enjoy with a jameson on ice, after one or two pints of Guinness not more
(kilkenny and lagavulin-no-ice works too)
I will take my TLR along (sorry, no more contax...), loaded with delta3200, or with tri-x just to push the limits.

But most important, the company... My sweet girlfriend and our little international group of friends here in the Netherlands...i need them to make the evening complete.

However, 30 minutes on the RangeFinderForum are almost as good as all the above :D

My;

Nissan Maxxima with 6 speed transmission
nice jazz or blues in the CD player
a bottled water
a RF camera with a couple lenses and film
and somewhere to go with my son.

Yep, Tipitina's and the Maple Leaf work for me, also., but you left out the Rock and Bowl.

In addition to the above, to have a camera with me that stows flat enough to fit in a big pocket or in a compact satchel is a big plus in my book.

Also, if like Hendrix, then you must like Stevie Ray Vaughan.
