the bag arrived today and i whipped it out of the box before i left the post office parking lot...
i love the blue slate...i had been thinking that think tank would do well with a version in grey with the same texture as the pinestone (and i would still like to see what one might look like) but the blue slate is very nice indeed. i was always surprised that i liked the pinestone as green is not one of my favourite colours..but the blue is so easy on the eyes and subdued...perfect for some city street shooting.
the retro 7 is also right on the mark as to size...and shape.
i quickly dumped my 2 rd1 bodies with small lenses attached along with my third lens and it fits perfectly. i could easily add more gear but as is, there is absolutely no hassle putting in gear or pulling it out. this has to be key to someone who is as lazy and not wanting to fight gear as i am.
one small thing that i noticed immediately is that the movable part of the strap is a bit thicker and more narrow than before...i bet that is going to be more comfortable for a longer haul.
more to come as i actually get the bag out there and use it.

Have you put your iPad in yet ?. With protector sleeve ?.
Is there a carry handle on top ?.
not yet...have to leave something for the proper review...but judging by eye an ipad in a case will fit easily into the provided space.
and the carry handle is there too!
