Thinking of exchanging

look at Kevin Cameras i think he has one for sale 35/1.4 pre Lux
there might also be one for sale with my good dealer friend here in Bangkok
i'm sure i saw one in one of his display cases the other day. I will check on friday.

1.4 does make a difference. Patience is a virture so they say.
BTW Narrative is important for sure but so is the visual quality - how else will you stand out from the crowd?

Thanks for tip Simon!
It should stand out from the crowd with composition and dynamic, not with bluring things around 😀

blurring things around? don't see your point here that not why you'd want a 1.4 lens.

Hi Joe,

Please allow me to say, this bit here

was rather strongly phrased (my italics). We have all bought and sold lenses with much less of a reason than Vlademir stated here.

Best,

i see your point...it was not meant to sound that strong.
my apologies nach.

My transactions with Richard Osterling, from KB Camera, would have been considered frivolous. Heck, I considered them frivolous! 🙂

First, I sent him an old 1954 'cron (rigid), with hood and cap, in exchange for a new, silver chrome Summicron 50. He obliged and sent the lens promptly after receiving my old lens and the difference.

Second: my black Leica came in, so I sent him the silver lens in exchange for a black lens. I added a difference of $250.

Financially unsound, but it made me happy.

Hence, Nach, go for what makes you happy... but give the ZI lens a chance first. I must add that, like some people here, my fingers are thick, so I appreciate the size of some lenses. Good luck! 🙂

Thank you for your input Francisco, I appreciate it, I have actually tried 35 biogon quiet heavily and I know exactly its pros and cons and after buying 28mm elmarit asph and shooting black and white... it is hard to hold on it 😀 I think best would be if I go to my local leica store and handheld it and compare it to biogon, also I am in confusion between sonnar and summilux 😀

It seems I would get $450 for my biogon to trade in for summicron 35mm, I don`t know if I want to give away my biogon for that price, I might give it some time...
