haha that's pretty inventive! people like to rag on chinese goods but at the same time it's the chinese willing to make niche electronics and listen to feedback.
 
The link at the end pointed to a Chinese web ordering page. So it is around US $105.

LCD res 320*240 :(
This could be a rather nice niche product down If they up the LCD Res the road .

Any RRF memebers from China with a Sigma Dp willing to give it a try :D
 
Translating off the specs sheet, it needs a "16340 3.7V lithium battery" to operate - the usb port obviously can't provide power for the display.

Resolution is 320*240...Battery life about 5-6 hours on a full charge, and you have to turn it on separately after you turn on the camera
 
I think Sigma crowd are yogis :) I mean those people sleeping on glass or nails - who else would use this large add-on sticking far out of dimensions of camera, with low res picture and aux power cord :eek:

I admit I error framing DP1 sometimes, under bright sunlight but even small optical finder is something I wouldn't want to use. Otherwise I just could use sheet camera :)
 
Takes away the pocket-ability, for which I like the Sigma. But looks promising if that's not an issue for you.
