Third party lens shades for 35mm Summicron

I have seen some lens hoods for E39 on Japan Exposures, but they are screwed into place using the filter thread. Are there any third party shades for the current 35mm cron, that fit on the outside of the lens (like the normal shade)?

No I am merely interested in getting a round lens shade for the current 35 cron, which resembles the one for the pre-asph summilux and summicron.

Example: the special edition M's with 28mm elmarit often have a round metal hood, rather than the square one it normally has. I was looking for the same type for a 35 summicron.

How about getting an older Leica hood, like 12504 or 12585 ?

Totally agree-the 12585 is the one! Fits 1:2,8/35-1:2/35-1:3,5/50-1:2,8/50 and 1:2/50. Easy to find on the evilbay...

Why not? It's hardly a hi tec gadget after all !

I have used and still use push-on hoods. They are the only option (other than bayonet) when rectangular is wanted. The screw-in kind are less likely to be knocked off.
